As Vishwa Kulshrestha Sammelan under went on 8th November at Agra, our Samiti which took ownership of key activities for the day received a lot of positive feedback from the people who had graced the event. Some of them are really motivational and are summarized below:

Hari Mohan Kulshrestha says...

"Great achievement and yours and all team members untiring efforts and leading the samiti world congregation of Kulshrestha's, given such a magnitude of thrust for the benefits of Kulshrestha's social cause .
Great and we pray, you take care of self and that infused strength to the younger team members.our
heartiest congrats to each one of them. "

Thanks
Warm Regards
Hari Mohan Kulshrestha

Motivational words from AtmaJi

Thanks a lot Shri Vinod Ji.
It is a gigantic task that KKS is doing and it can be seen that so much more you guys want to do.  It seems on the ground the needs of basic survival and emergency relief are much more urgent than entrepreneurial needs.  This input will be very useful and inspiring.
Sincere thanks once again.
Warm Regards,
Atma

> Dear Shri Atma Ranjan ji,
>
> This is with reference to your communication dated 8th Dec 2014 to Col Verma, Hon President Kulshrestha Kalyan Samiti (KKS), regarding the assistance received through ‘Emergency Relief Fund- Kulshresthas’ from US. My sincere apologies for the delay.
>
> I am pleased to provide you desired details as attached.
>
> Some more details are also attached to give you and the group a general idea about the activities and current level of disbursements.
>
> Details may give some insight into how the Samiti has been able to just give a soft touch and not actually ameliorate to respectable level the state of most disadvantaged section of our community and society. The monthly amount we provide to a family is just Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 on an average. Some of our boys and girls from less privileged families have got admission in professional colleges due to their hard work and efforts. But we are able to give only a fraction to meet their educational expenses. This is an area of serious concern to all of us so that no one is deprived of quality education and opportunities for a decent living thereafter. >
>Most compassionate cases are medical emergencies, arising out of critical illness and other emergencies, where the treatment needs Rs 2 to 6 Lakhs but our resources permit us to provide only Rs 25000 to Rs 30000 one time. We have limited amount which is to be distributed throughout the year. ERF is providing a very good support for the cause. But we do confess that, even with that we are unable to meet even 10 % of the cost of treatment. The unfortunate family sells everything and quite often perishes. Sometimes the patient is not able to survive due to inadequacy in treatment which the family is not able to afford.
>We express our gratitude and sincerely thank our fraternity abroad, especially in US, which has helped KKS in promoting the cause for providing assistance to the needy. But for this, our assistance to needy would have been of still lower level.
KKS looks forward for substantial increase in the allocation from ERF to enable Samiti to give this unfortunate segment of society, a reasonable amount for living with respect. The medical help needs immediate up gradation from members of community living abroad, which might be able to spare more for the cause.
>Kind regards.

Dear Friends,

Rear Admiral S Kulshrestha
I have been  amazed to see the terrific response from the youngsters to carryout welfare for their needy brethren, over the past couple of years! Kalyansamiti as you know is a purely charity driven organization with the sole aim of helping the needy Kulshresthas. More details can be found at the website run free of cost for the samiti (by two young kulshresthas of course!) kulshresthakalyansamiti.org .
I think it would be worthwhile to provide mutual links on both samiti and kulshrestha groups sites for ease of navigation and inspiration to all.

For the latest happenings on the charity scene please chk out the samiti site! The 2011 annual convention was a roaring success! Record breaking donations were received, reaffirming our faith in our own community!

I am on LinkedIn in case some of you want to join me, will be on face book as soon as I find more time ,

All the best and God Bless You all!

......................

I feel we should harness and synergize all the e-groups of kulshresthas so that we can motivate them for our cause of charity.

May the lord bless us all!

CLARION CALL - AWAKE

"Thanks dear Virendra Ji to you and your outstanding team of excellent people full of initiative, drive and enthusiasm who wit
Shri Hari Shankar Kulshrestha
h their exceptional physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual efforts, elevated the humble beginning of Kulshreshtha Kalyan Samiti that some of us started a few decades back to the present level.  What at that time was a small group can now be seen as an ever expanding spectrum full of variety, hues, colors and shades.

I also congratulate all the honorable members who are here who when confronted with the plight of our less fortunate community members chose to act with creativity, originality, initiative and drive rather than just standing by as helpless creatures hoping some day someone will do something about it.

I am now 90 years YOUNG.  The infinite universe has a lot to offer.  Every day is a new day.  I do what I Iike and like what I do. The past is gone and future is unknown – present is ours and I live in present.  I try to live from moment to moment with full awareness, unconditioned, ever alert and conscious mind.  To me this world is a stark reality to be experienced by five senses and intuitioned by the sixth.  I wished I could attend today’s function – to me it must be like heaven on earth.  For this gathering, to those who think that this world is full of miseries, I would suggest वो यहाँ आयें और बहिश्ते कुल की सैर करें.

In the end, I salute all of you but with a word of caution. Despite your gigantic efforts even now there are still too many tears that need to be wiped, too many wounds that need to be healed and too many sinking hopes that need just a little help to live, and till the time it is there you cannot rest.

May God help all of us make this community a better place to live."

Shri Hari Shankar Kulshrestha,
Founder Member, Kulshrestha Kalyan Samiti
(New Jersey, USA)
